A Little About Us
Taupo Gravity shuttle has 2 vehicles for hire (with a driver) within Craters mountain bike park in Taupo. The Gravity Jeep has a 3 pax capacity and the Gravity van has a 6 Pax capacity. Bikes are caried with Yakima hang over 4 and 6 bike racks. If you like these racks they can be ordered through our base. Taupo Gravity shuttles allows you to practice your gravity skills without having to pedal up Tank stand and Grinder to Debs seat where the 4 down hill trails begin..
With limited capacity we will be running the vehicles as private hires during our initial period to see what demand is like so get some mates together and get in touch for an epic adventure.

Craters MTB Tracks
Deb's Down hill section (grade 3/4)
The track is closing over as the pines, planted about 2010, get bigger. First section is downhill and while it is labeled grade 4 there are only a few roots and tricky corners to negotiate with some built up dirt drops which can be ridden around. (Strava KOM 3:28) There is a shoot onto the road before the uphill part that we will pick you up from after this decent... pedaling up hill is not the point!!
Coles Killer (grade 5)
It has some jumps and drops,but these can be by passed by the meek and mild through chicken shoots. The whole track is in established pines and pops out at the connection. (Strava KOM 2:10)
Buzzard (grade 4)
Fast sandy downhill with some opportunities to get air. Featured in March 2020 in Bike Taupo's video beggining 2:25 into the video... The video stars Bas and Vaea and our Jeep shuttle. (Strava KOM (1:59) this trail spits half way down and you can ride "missing link" onto "tank down" adding nearly 2 mnutes to your descent.
"Mr & Mrs" (grade 3)
Short fast downhill followed by an uphill then some dips and bumps, at the end of "Mr" we can pick you up as you enter the forestry road or continue on to Mrs-Mistress-Better then P back to connection (the extra tracks are not downhill) (Strava KOM 3:14)
"Isolation" (grade 3/4)
What began as an "illegal" trail during lock down is now a very well ridden trail, narrow and techcy. It crosses grinder and kinder grinder ti link onto tank dow all the way to connection for the next pick up...
"Megalicious" (Grade 3/4)
Long fast downhill designed to utilise the landscape and create extra time descending. This drop off location is different to the above trails..
